sounds good
only bought the car last week - noticed the clutch pedal was welded to the steering column, so wanted it changed asap.
I managed to get a new column/pedals from oxford mk1 golf specialist

http://www.golfmk1.co.uk/

and are getting done along with a new cable.

also need doing is driveshaft, my car is abit of a mix and match so the gearbox is from a mk2 golf, so unsure what driveshaft i will need.
I prefer to give my car to someone who has worked on these before, so be great if there were some mk1 people in london who could work on my car.
Im based in east london, and Id be happy to have a friendly meet up, and get some ideas.

Im also looking to get some ats classics but cant make my mind up on 13s or 15s?
the car is currently on coilovers and is pretty low, some thing telling me 13s are too small.
any pics of both wud be a big help.
Iv got mk2 16v breaks so not sure if il be able to clear term, if not can i get away with spacers from halfords

went round to mozzums tonight and managed to identify various minor issues with the car, all seem straight forward to solve, ignition switch is giving intermittant starting issue, needs new cam cover gasket, plugs, rotor, dizzy cap, cold start valve, and just a bit of wiring in engine sorting, hopefully we can get them sorted in the next few weeks

Sorry to hijack but Raferackstraw you say you live tottenhamish way?
You don't happen to have the Mk1 slammed on Ronal Turbs do you?
(The car is generally parked in Edmonton but Tottenham seems close enough :D )
