Windscreeen dilema

okay so i am fully comp, have had my insurance for about a month or 2. but i need to claim on my windscreen which will be an excess of about £75. however i would like to sell my car after, does anyone know if they will make me pay off the rest of the windscreen cost if i cancel the insurance? :\

hello mate

as far as i am aware as long as you make the claim and it is also sorted, settled and finalised before you cancel the insurance or sell your car then you won't be liable for the rest of the costs.

my dad said people could just get insured ona  car that needs fixing, claim and then cancel it
im really not sure what to do
