Options?
« on: 13 April 2010, 22:32 »
Been running my gt tdi for a couple of months now and still love it, and prefer it over my 1.8t motor. But im after a tad more power but don't want to go for remap as i dont want to have to touch the clutch. Ive still got my carbanoiro style induction kit from my octavia vrs. Is it worth fitting this on the tdi or will it just bog it down and make it sound awfull? Pipercross panel filter worth doing on the tdi? thanks

Diesels like warm air - so doubt an induction kit will help, plus it would sound awful.

Remap a diesel for more power - do it/drive it sensibly, and you won't eat clutches.

Diesels like warm air, didn't know that, cheers.
That explains the sh*te mpg when it was -6 this winter.

3 kiddo's. 1 in a baby seat, the other in an upright child seat and the eldest can't fit inbetween the two seats easily so we had to get something bigger. We even looked at the Golf Plus'.

I was looking at Sharan's and Alhambra's and found that Galaxy's were the same car with just Ford styling so that widened my search options a bit and they were generally a bit cheaper too. After looking at a local Alhambra and test driving one, I was dead set on them but the local one was way over priced.

Managed to get a bargainous MK2 Galaxy Ghia with all the toys (just missing the DVD player and screens in the headrests and heated seats, hardly bothered though).

So here I am with a 1.9TDI AUY FORD
