best place for ABS pump

are you sure??? I was told mine was knackered then i read on another vw website to try and remove the 2 lefthand side green fuses (on top of the battery) give them a clean and pop them back in. my car had the abs warning coming on all the time and the fault code reader said it was the abs pump and the car just skidded when you jumped on the brakes i cleaned the fuses and it was back to normal and has been fine ever since

Cheers mate I'll give that a bash, what can be the cause of this? Dirty fuses?

I think its just corrosion on the fuses and the control units for the abs pumps are very voltage sensative and when the fuses corrode the unit shuts donw to prvent damage!

hope this helps bud as i was shocked at the price of a new abs pump and control unit

yea i know there like £500 or summin my mate was sayin.

good new, gave it a go and the light is off and aint been on again, took car out for a little drive to see if it would come bk on and so far so good thank u mate :D

I had same problem, Seems the problem is usally the control unit with them, My light was on constantly. Doing my head in, i decided to unplug the control unit 1 day, light stayed on, went to plug it back in..... There lies a spider, it had crawled in and died obstructing the circuit, Got that little bugger out of there(with pliers, i hate spiders) haha
