how can i tell if its been mapped ?

not long had my 20vt arz is there any way 2 tell if its been remaped ? (myself )

If it is remapped it should feel like it wants to rear up and wheel spin in 1st and 2nd gear with ease, It should also give  nice turbo kick which will push you back in your seat.

If your car has traction control the light will be flashing all the time when driving hard.   In other words a remap should make you smile,

  Standard the power will feel the same across the whole rev band with no turbo kick.

i do feel the turbo kick at about 2k and i think its fast but then again i have never driven one other than this, it does make me smile but i think thats just becoz its my new car and i love it  :laugh: :laugh:

also its got a standard every thing including dv, so ??  :huh:

get it RRed then you soon tell if you got more power  :evil:
or fit a boost gauge and see what boost your running 20psi and you be on the road to 190bhp = chipped
 if its got the vvturbo the chip will make 210bhp

Put your misses in the car, put your foot down hard & if she starts screaming then its been mapped. If she doesn't then its just a nice romantic slow drive for her  :kiss:

Unless you have been in both or have decent experience of what 150 and 200ish feels like its quite hard to just "tell".

To get a definative score you will need to either take it to a RR or get someone who knows what they are doing to plug in take and look.

What makes you think its remapped?

i know how u feel mate mine is totaly standard not mapped and mine feels quite lively get a nice kick when the turbo comes in and its feels just as quick as my old clio 182 i always wonderd if mine was mapped but seems as mine was owned by a lady  who had it from new i doubt it was ever modified (she was a right suck up bit*h)
