Well it's about time I uploaded some pics to this forum.......
Been out in the lovely sunshine today having a bit of a mini-detail on the GTI. Process was as follows:
Cleaned exhaust tips with AG metal polish and 00 grade wire wool then coated with Jetseal 109
Cleaned wheel arches with Megs APC 4:1 and stiff brush
Cleaned alloys with megs wheel brush and some CG Maxi-suds solution
Door shuts etc cleaned with Megs APC 10:1 and detailing brush
2BW with CG maxi-suds, lambswool mitt, grit guards.
Dry with Sonus der Wunder drying towel
Glass cleaned/treated with Car Lack 68 glass sealant
Alloys, calipers & exhaust tips sealed with Poorboys wheel sealant x 1 coat (already have a few base coats on them)
Waxed with Dodo light fantastic
Trim treated with CG new look trim gel (this is excellent stuff - just started to use it)
Tyres done with Megs Endurance tyre gel with the megs applicator
Ideally would have liked to get the rims off to give them a proper treatement of clay, jetseal, poorboys etc and also to spray the brake discs with a bit of high-temp silver paint but that will have to wait for next time!
