what are the cheapest but best value for the mk5? i have 17inch wheels on mine, got Bridgestone Potenza's on it, 125 a tyre but was looking for somethin around 90/100 quid

Have a look at the Vredestein ulrtac sessanta (think they do them in 17''). Got these on my edition 30 rims & a lot of mk5 owners use them.  :wink:

just got toyo proxes t1rs on mine wich is what was on when i bought it, £85 each
mk5 gti, the best since the mk2

Don't skinflint on tyres, its not worth it mate not on a performance car anyway!! You need a good allround tyre for the winter also, yes vreidastines are good. IMO it would have to be Michys any top end tyre?

Not worth risking your life for Shyte tyres!!  :wink:

Yep don't skimp on your tyres. Try some of the below for tyres. Used Elite before and they were good.
