just had an email for a re newal for my mk2 8v gti, and its more expensive than last year, still got my no claims (3 years) im 22, and its over 200 quid more, plus im waiting for 6 points to go on my lisence which will put it up even more, looks like i may have to sell the golf

erm, ring them and others

i dont pay much for my policy,

 but after recieving my renewal i rang round, and went back to them, and saved over a fifth on the original quote

HIC did well for me for a few years, but they then started to suddenly charge me a lot more for some bizarre reason, so I sacked them off with a cheaper deal from some one else. As Chuff says, shop around and also tell HIC as they might be able to "suddenly" give you a cheaper deal if you are looking to leave them.
