Any alloy wheel will bend if you hit a pothole wrong, Id go reps all the time now otherwise you'll cry when you bend them. I had some genuine Schnitzers and they bent just as easy as my rep RS8's

As said reps tend to be heavy.  My German made R32 reps were ok

I was told to avoid replica wheels because of weight, quality, etc but I can't find any genuine old style RS4 rims on t'internet

I heard the same but a good proper set of wheels cost sooo much. My 18 BBS LMs are around £3200 with no rubber, I dread to think what sort of mark up these alloy wheel shops are putting on these wheels. I ended up paying just under a grand for 18 reps (honestly, you'd really struggle to tell them apart) and that was also with 18 EF1 rubber.

It's a no brainer really.

I would avoid wheelbase and as Alan said try to get the tyres upgraded.

I've had wheels off them in the past and had no issues.

Yes plus so have a few mates, they maybe better these days.
