I thought I would get myself a nice bargin about 3 months ago when I won a nearly new fuel filler neck for ?15 off ebay.
Finally came to fit it last week to find that it doesn't fit !
What's happened is that you can either fix it to the fuel cap and it's 4-5 inchs out with the conecting pipe to the tank. Or you can connect it to the fuel tank and it won't reach the fuel cap.
I had a look on German/French and Swedish and I could find a few hoses that might do the trick if I cut a bit out but has anyone come across this before and would my cut and shut with a piece of the old filler neck connected to an extra piece of the pipe work?
also does anyware sell the surround for the fuel cap it'self (very thin plastic cover with three screw holes in)
I will tackle this weekend so all advice is needed
