going along today i started to accelerate the car lurched violently then then carried on as normal but now got the asr light on the dash now. i think its something to do with a wheel sensor but has anyone had this before?

i got one for maf sensor but reckon thats because my re circ valves gone tits up but the other code is 01314 but cant find it anywhere

Check the earth strap under the bonnet and the fuses on top of the battery :

just one other thing the light went off but the moment i moved it an inch it come back on again

My money would be on the earth strap. 

Assuming the MAF is ok as you say.

I had a weird lurch whilst on the motorway earlier as well, an 'Emissions Workshop' warning popped up on the dash then disappeared. Doesn't sound like it's related to yours, gonna plug into VAG-COM tomorrow to see.

the earth strap looks fine but will check continuity. il check and see if the maf code comes back again tomorrow  must admit i thought sod it and took the bike to work as im stroppy with her for letting me down again lol
