What sort of speed are you getting the vibrations and are you hearing any strange noises?

Wheel balancing/ cv joint/ wheel bearing inner, otherwise known as the usual suspects...

Any knocking/ clicking when turning?

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

Buckled wheel or damaged tyre casing if its showing at such a slow speed.

Well, Ive just had a look in my Crystal ball, its telling me that the problem was that the council had come along and put speed bumps on his road! and he'd not noticed.... just thought I'd let you all know
