I have never heard of any other G60 synchro's apart from the rallye and limited, at least not in the golf range.

a shell came up for sale on edition about 2 months ago and went for 3500 grand, didnt have a bonnet or wings either as i remember!

Was the Fore and Ice a special golfing edition of the Golf?

Fire and ice was the bad-taste Euro-trash-baiting special edition with lairy coloured interior that thankfully we never got over here.

VW never made any Synchros, you bloody heathens.  They only made Syncros.

And yes, they did indeed make G60 Syncros, badged GTI in three and five door.

They also made GT Syncros, with the limp wristed 98bhp injected 1.8 8V catalysed motor.  The UK only got 665 of the Golf Syncro and 115 of the Jetta Syncro, oh and a few LHD Rallyes and the odd Limited.

syncros in 3 and 5 doors not just rallye. Most of them 3 door syncros are LHD.

One for sale on edition 38 at the moment with a charged r32/r36 lump. Had my eye on it for a while but im guessing he wants silly money!
