Gulf, do you have some pics of the GTI ones you have for the mk6 ?

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

Cheers, everyone. As usual this forum provides the answer to my every query within half an hour :nerd: That second set from your scan, Neil, is what I'm after, so thanks for that. However, £100 seems really expensive for what look like bits of thick Gaffer tape. Can anyone confirm the quality?

Does anyone have any 'real' photos, i.e. not ones from accessory brochures?

FroGti, I have those on mine [the second ones down on the catalogue page] and can confirm that they are good quality, and look exactly as they do on the brochure pic. [Price includes fitting]
Haven't taken any pics of the ones on mine.

Frog, just remember if you stick anything in that area make sure the paintwork is cleaned but not waxed otherwise it might not stick as well. Most of these kits come with alcohol/solvent rubbing solution to prep the area.

Thanks again for all your helpful feedback, guys  I'd be interested in seeing those custom made ones, Gulfstream. Do they have a brushed steel finish? I don't need any lettering or logos on mine, as I have the GTI seat inserts and any more would start to look OTT. I will remember to clean with alcohol, Gossa. Rick, any chance of a close-up shot of yours?

EDIT: I have just stuck a couple of strips of 3" wide Sellotape along the front sills. Not particularly sexy perhaps, but it's practically invisible, free, renewable and would appear to do what I want.

Yes they would be a  brushed finish to match the interior, tho I,ve never made any for the MK6.I agree with your point on plain would be better.I,ll do some next week and post pictures on here..

I,ll do some next week and post pictures on here..

That would be great. I would definitely be interested. There are no kick plates at all as standard on the Mk6, so any protection would be nice (my temporary Sellotape solution won't hold out for very long).

Look forward to your update, Gulfstream
