Newbie needing HELP mk4 gt tdi engine problem

we will go with white unburnt diesel cos it stinks of it !!! what could be problem ??

That I don't know I'm afraid. My knowledge ends at that point

Unburnt diesel: temp sensor could be reading low-low, thus over-riching things.

MAF or something electrickeral NEEDS to be detected by VAG-COM.

Might be losing compression on the motor, but I think that's extremely unlikely.... unless it has a chocolate cam....

It does sound as tho it is misfiring when cold but does level out when it gets warmer but still smokes! i was reading here about the glow relay, just been

out again to see how long the glow light stays on, it stays on for about a 1 second is this right or sould it stay on longer ?? looks like i'll have to repair

the car and then take it to get the falt codes checked.

If your running it without water you will kill very quickly.

No not running it without water although it is leaking im costantly topping it up till i get the new rad fitted.

Until you've got a new rad in there you're not going to be able to get situation normal as far as the engine's concerned, so sort that and then take a view.

Right men update new rad fitted and topped up with coolant. Fired up runnig rough and smoking alot, warmed up to temp engine settles down but still

smoking ! noticed a lot of air bubbles running through the clear pipe that runs from the filter to pump ( is this right ) cracked each injector of in turn and

as soon as i do this more air seems to run through the sed pipe ? So iv got myself a vagcom but have not got a clue how to use it ! can any one give

me step by step instructions how to use cheers in advance Mark.
