Oil clean up tips please

oks I ve had a problem with my golfs dipstick , has popped/been knocked off waist driving and its lobed oil all over, is there a easy fast way to clean this part of my engine bay ie. Spray the area with carb cleaner and wipe off etc. thanks

also is there a way a and fasen it down so this doesn’t happen again ?



This show were the oil sprayed up when the pipe dropped in front of the hole

oks had to put the dipstick tube on again. any ideas ?

Also its sprayed oil all over the bottom of the engine cover, any advice on cleaning this as well?

You probably need a new dipstick assembly from the dealer... should be cheap enough, and easy to fit
Take care of the spillage with a large aerosol of brake cleaner, just blast and wipe...

Autoglym engine cleaner is very good aswell at degreasing things but it's more xpensive then brake cleaner but does do a very good job!
