im pretty new to this so excuse the question but i just bought a 1.6 mk2 fuel injected golf and the gears seem very close together. is this common to the mk2 gearbox?

1.6 injected Golf2?  Got pics?

The Golf2 might seem quite short-geared in comparison to modern cars.
