temp sensor + service light
« on: 01 April 2010, 12:30 »
quickie i got my temp sensor from work yesterday and it looks just to be a psuh in plug for my agu is it jsut a case of pulling the old one out and pushing the new one in? would have thought it would have been a threaded body?

also the service light is on the dash (says service/inspection) already done the oil+fuel filter and plugs etc etc 500 mile ago, where in vagcom do i turn the message off?

and lastly when the screenwash bottle is low does the car normally beep loudly at you when you start it lol? (most annoying)

Temp sender - yes, you remove a c-clip that holds the old sensor in (don't lose the o-ring!) and simply push the old one in the hole and repace the c-clip.  :smiley:

Service light/message reset (need to do this on mine actually!);

1. Ignition off - press and hold reset mileage
2. Ignition on - release reset mileage
3. Turn clock adjuster to the right (as you would if adjusting minutes). Should now be clear.

Screenwash bottle beep - erm... top up your screenwash maybe?  :huh:
