mmm £49 quid for a coilpack. Did they use a genuine VW part?

yep! only genuine parts, no other way :) the part was £32 by the time tax was on it and £10 for doin the job it was £49. the garage i go to is owned by a guy who used to work for vw and the other 4 guys there have all worked for some sort of german manufacturer in the past. as they told me in the past all the german stuff is pretty much built on the same platform and parts are pretty similar. they are all pretty hot on their stuff so..... he said to me vw did a re-vised coilpack because they have been known to perish so he told me mine was the older so he put the newer one on and even tried to do it under some warranty thing with vw :S summin to do with if they go within an amount of miles they dont charge or something but i was just over havin done 86k lol bstards!!! all fine now tho.

well they did all the diagnostics with vagcom, plus he was shuttin at 12 but stayed open to look at my car so cant grumble lol
