Hi guys, I want some bigger wheels for my car but not 18's. I want it to remain a largely smooth drive living where I live, the roads are terrible and a lot of driving is around town...

I know full well most 18's look sweet... I've been looking predominantly at:

Audi TT 17" Ronals (6 spoke)
Audi TT 17" Comps (5 spoke)
VW Longbeach 17" (but I really doubt I'd drop on, love 'em though!)

Replica wheels:

RS6 reps (look weird in 17's, spokes too thin/sharp)
Audi newer S3 reps in 17's
The MK5 Golf GTI wheels in 17" (but not diamond cut, just plain silver, Monza II reps or huffs or something?!)
RS4 newer reps

And then random things like Speedline 2310's and similar but I think 17" would be too small and wouldn't look right with "normal" tyres (i.e. I want a reasonable profile for comfort so generally looking at 225/45/17.

Smart though :)

Anyone got any opinions/ideas? Obviously be working to around 35mm offset and 7.5x17" so they don't sit too far in the arch, I've noticed wheels can look bigger if not sitting in too far... Cars lowered (as per sig) which helps looks.

Thanks guys :) PS: be great to see people rolling on 17's, open to ideas!

RS6 reps look a bit weedy/strange in 17" :( Spokes are a bit thinner on most reps and just look out of proportion.

I'm actually warming to the GTI MK5 style wheels (in just plain silver) for something a bit different from the usual stuff... They looked ok on a very quick photoshop, I'll do some proper chops in a bit :)

Yeah I like TT comps but as you say most need refurbing so I'd have to get that done regardless as I'd not want tatty wheels on there with my current ones being so good (last owner had them refurbed just before I bought the car, shame they're 16's! :( )
