hi wuker

the 60,000 mile service cost me £200, cambelt change £290 and when change cambelt ment change water pump which is £80 + labour all work come to just short £600 mate, not cheap. I also need front  discs and brake pads. they quoted me £300!!!! i will be going else where!!!!

Thats a good price for the service... My local volkswagen wanted 345 for the 60,000 mile service and 665 for the cambelt + water pump...

The service I thought was quite expensive and they want another 65 for the break fluid change

Hi Golden,

Ouch I best start putting the cash away then... Was there any reason you chose the dealer over an independant garage?

Out of interest does the computer tell you when it needs a service?

Ive heard the water pump should be changed at the same time so ill get a quote for the lot

hi mate,

i got the work done at dealers because the work (cambelt) has 2year guarantee, dont think be going again, be goin to my own garage better service and know what they are doing, and alot cheaper
