mk1 battery Q?

Im looking at a mk1 golf with a 9a Corrado engine. The battery has been relocated to the boot.

I want to race it and reg's say battery must be in its origional position, is there room in the engine bay to put the battery back in its origional position with the 9a engine.

Should be yes, post up some pics of your engine bay.

Yes, should just fit where it originally went. Might depend on what they did the the metering head and airbox but even with a scirocco manifold it should still fit just fine.
