How to change radiator fan?

Hi all.
So I've got a problem with the air con fan on my beloved GTI. It's stopped working, so the main fan is running harder to cope with cooling the engine and running the air con. Spoke to the stealer and they want £360 to change the aircon fan and £650 to cahnge both the aircon and cooling fan. Apparently VW recommend changing both at the same time. Seems like a lot od dosh to me! The parts are apparently £125 for the small fan and £196 for the larger one. I haven't contacted anyone esle on this as I thought I might have at changing it myself. I've been searching now for a while but can't see to find any tutorials on either changing the fans or changing the radiator. Any got any link or instructions on how to do this?

Sound very expensive to me

Have a look at Euro Car Parts for the parts and that will give you a ball park figure of the fan prices...

Perhaps speak to your local independant garage and see whether they can do it cheaper
