Now for Exhaust.....
« on: 30 March 2010, 11:57 »
Guys,

I'd like to get a nice LOOKING exhaust for my 1.8T. However, I really can't have it loud because of my daughter, is it possible to get nice uprated exhaust / backboxes which are just for pure looks? (If it's a little bit louder thats fine, but it really really can't be to loud)

Also I don't want something silly like a massive 5" pipe, want something small and subtle :)

Milltek resonated.

Yep, what he said. Take your pick of looks, single Anni style one, dual V6 one. Resonated isnt too loud either :)

find a local exhaust place and get them to make up a back box for you if its purely looks you are after

Don't see the point in splashing out on a brand name if you only want it for style

They may be able to modify your current backbox thus retaining the OEM sound you already have

Worth phoning around and getting some quotes :afro:

Im not sure if im thinking right, but i'd say you want something thats going to give you a power gain but without being loud.

If so a nice Milltek cat back system will be fine for you. even a non resonated system isnt very loud compared to the stupid peco back boxes chav's put on there car.

The benifit of a milltek also is its stainless steel and is a quality make. worth there money.

Most places use the same quality stainless steel

I saved over £50 by getting one made as opposed to a ready fit Milltek    And i get the same lifetime gurantee
