fuel question...
« on: 29 March 2010, 22:00 »
this might be a stupid question but its been bugging me so here it goes

i have a remapped AGU and since the remap i have only used shell v power fuel... recently done a few longggg motorway journeys and its cost me dear... i was thinking for long motorway journeys can i just tank it with normal 95 fuel?? and then carry on using v power as usual .. until another long journey arises again??

The ECU in the AGU is only basic, but even so it learns apparently.  About 2 or 3 full tanks and it'll learn to adapt to whatever petrol you're using.

To be honest mate you can still use 95 fine, you just won't get as much power from it.  Few tanks of V-Power and it'll re-learn though.  Least I hope so!

so if i tank it with 95 and drive london and back .. burn that fuel up in the same day.. it wouldnt make much difference the ecu will it..

im gonna just 95 it from now on den if i have long journeys i dont need extra power or rich fuel at steady motorway speed
