Need a good body shop too mate, let us know if you hear of any. Im in Chester too, a bloke at  work who is into his cars suggested one in Kelsall, said was a pretty decent job, but saying that ive not seen the car. He didn;t say what the bodyshops name was but if i find out i'll let you know.

Im assuming your're a mk1 owner? Where abouts in Chester are you? You may have seen mine about(or heard it more like) Overreving at the mo. Mars red one. Im pretty new to all this so would be good to have someone local for advice. Also do you know if Volksave on the way out of chester is still going? Nr Great Mills, the signs still up on the wall, but it doesn't look too busy.

Cheers

Lewis K

Hi Lewis,

Im not in chester, but just on the chester side of wrexham. Most poeple dont know where wrexham is so I say that i'm near chester!! Yes I am a MK1 owner, she's in a bit of a sorry state at the mo, hence the bodyshop post! i'm looking for somewhere to do a complete resto on the chasis. All ready stripped down just trying to find some where. There's supposed to be a good place in Buckley I just want to get as many quotes as I can! Dont know about volksave, I havnt heard anything good put it that way.

hey  i didnt know there were so many chester guys!!!!

my parents live 10 miles outside chester, i should be back for xmas...

i had all my bodywork done ( vented wing, silver side strip, grille + lights) and almere garage, near doddleston somewhere.

the guys name is andy, if you mention Richard with the blue mk1 convertible he will probably remember me....

Decent price and VERY good job. Although has lots of work so is never brilliant with turnaround time. Next best is a young lad in saltney supposidly.

Anyone fancy a xmas meet?

Seems very difficult to find any one with a decent reputation around here!
