repairing shockers

Hi, i have had uprated suspension on my car for last 8 years now MK2 16v, Its a bit tired now,
I recently picked up some brand new lowering springs from gsf,
I just seen these on ebay, Can i just put these in my exhisting suspension units,

You can mate but to be honest, jamex are purely a budget brand and the ride quality reflects that

sound mate, Is this a good way 2 do it though, buying inserts and using existing equipment, If i get a better brand insert

Yer personally i have never used inserts only full coilovers but have put some on my mates car and it kinda figures itself out if that makes sense, just look at what you have and swap the bits of the old setup for whats missing

I think it would be best to stick with the big boys, personally at the min im running spax coilovers all round and cant fault them. Its one of those things where you get what you pay for

Where is best place 2 purchase them, If you know that is

Eurocar parts or I believe GSF sell them, Sachs were oe equipment on mk2's and they now own Boge.

The shocks are fine, don't buy the whole kit including springs from GSF, they are sh!te.
