I don't have any 30-70 times to hand but these figures are taken from VW Driver magazine, both 6 speed manuals:
30-50 in 3rd, GTD 3.1 GTI 3.2
30-50 in 4th, GTD 5.7 GTI 4.3
50-70 in 3rd, GTD 3.7 GTI 3.2
50-70 in 4th, GTD 4.7 GTI 4.3
50-70 in 5th, GTD 6.4 GTI 5.5
50-70 in 6th, GTD 8.5 GTI 6.8
The only trouble with these rolling figures is that they don't take into account the very different gearing of the cars, so you are unlikely to be in the same gear at the same speed in many situations due to the Diesel having higher gearing and thus the turbo will be off boost.
Also these figures are obviously for flat out pedal to the floor acceleration, in real life give and take traffic situations the GTD would be at least as quick and would feel quicker thanks to the extra mid range torque.
GTD DSG would be fun and frugal.
