Sell it and get a MK1  :grin:

If you've had it that long and you still love it, you already had the answer.  Sods law would be you'd get something else and you wouldnt know its history and you'd hate it!  Bet you know every inch of this one.  If your friends change their cars every year then it shows they havent found a good car yet! You did.

That is what i keep sayin 2 em,
The only thing is that when something goes wrong on my car it gets amplified into sayin scrap it or get something newer,

Have you seen what went wrong with mine!!!!.... I wont let her go!

Dude, i've had all sorts of cars over the years and they go wrong too! No car is perferct.  Does it give you much jip though, if i'm honest i thought the same as you with my previous mk1, i sold it and got a minter (bar the electrics) and then luck smacked me about almost like a bad omen for selling the last one.

nah mate it ay let me down at all really, New discs an pads last year, Fuel accumulator the year before,
Could do with some new shocks an springs though now i think, These been on 4 last 8 years now,

If you have the money to pi55 on a new car then think of the fun you could have spending it on this!  It sounds like you love your car but feel its a bit tired.  Bring her back to life, you'll get more bang per buck than you will on something newer.... just think, one day your car could be a slammed VR6 thats eats everthing in your area for the price of second hand MK4!

2 be honest mate, since i bought this 10 years ago i never had the money 2 buy another car since then,
But if i did have sum spare cash then yeah i would spend it on this now

Well you're probably doing the right thing all round then.... i know what you mean, I aint got sh*t to spend on mine but thats the point though, if i sold it, what else could i get on a budget? and would it then cost me a fortune if it broke? if i had a spare 10k for a car i'd spend every penny on mine.  :smiley:
