I have driven Imprezzas, 911s, cossies and not one car have I enjoyed as much as the mk2 GTi. Keep it, but then I guess you want to keep it otherwise you wouldn't have asked in a place as biased as this!

you want to keep it! tell your friends to take a long running jump ,nice car ,not sure on the colour but its your choice, reliable and yours runs well so cheap ,new cars smell nice for a wk and are not always the most reliable :smiley:

I had it 10 years an i aint bored of it,
I still feel as though i only had it a year or so,

I've had Mk2 GTi's for years and was persuaded to change to a Mk5 GTi 6 months ago.  I don't want to start a debate about which is better as it's each to their own but for me I lost the joy of driving and ended up buying another Mk2 a month ago.  The Mk5 has been feeling a bit neglected in the drive ever since and will be going soon.  I won't be doing that again in a hurry!

Good decision to keep it :smiley:

I dont know how many times i,ve had to explain to people why i keep getting them i just like them. Same as so many other people on here.
At the the end of the day you like it and enjoy it so who gives a fcuk what anyone else thinks.

Sounds like the best course of action. :grin:

I get people complementing how nice my mk2 is, plus 2 mates have bought one and another has been looking for a while. You'll just have talk your friends round. :wink:
