just thinking about the money we all must spend on our cars and just wondered what kind of things people splashed out on or what bargains have been bought along the way.

for me bargains include a complete rallye interior for ?200, and a month old set of fk coilovers for ?250 other little bargains i'm sure but they were good 'uns

most money spent must have been on.........can't think! i'm a great bargain hunter!

in total though? i think i've spent about 3k including buying the car which was ?1600 about 4 years ago

oh and i got stung for things like chinese door handles when i first saw them and they are peanuts now!

I've spent more than I care to remember on the Golf, and I can see the Corrado's engine going down the same route too. But when I get in either of them and drive them how they should be driven, it feels like money well spent.

cheers marcus, i keep meaning to do a project thing but all my photos are stuck on my old computer, other than the ones that are in the gallery,
its a digifant with a piper 285 cam and pulley, k&n filter in standard box but with cold air feed, and a few nicely chromed bits, speedtech exhaust (downpipe back) those fk coilovers i mentioned, crystal lights, g60 leather interior, bbr rs 047s, g60 brakes with brembo discs pagid pads, eibach strut brace, momo corse wheel, vw motorsport gear knob/gaiter (nice and rare!) ermm what else? vdo gauges....err thinking.......oh and a cracked piston! so no engine at the moment as i'm having it re bored to 1900 with massivly polished/ported head, manifolds and throttle body! then it should rip!

i havent done the engine yet, but with the cam and exhaust it noticably quicker than my mates standard one. the cam idles very rough though if anyone else is thinking of getting one.

Bargin - Jetta Conversion - Needed some restoration, But not bad for ?30 

I really need a respray tho ive got a new bonnit and the arches are comming, But i need a re-spray SOOOO bad

didnt get much history, and i have nearly replaced every commonly replaced item since i got it last oct...

All in all around ?250.?? I hink, thats a rough guess. ?130 on the bumpers, ?40 on the grille, ?40 on three services, other bits here and there, most of them were free though. Car was free as well, so i saved some money there!

so how much you spent roughly then fielder
