From what i've seen, 1.8T cambelt is a fairly involved job.
Certainly more difficult than on a mk3 gti.

Had mine done last week 1.8 mk4 cost 4 hours at £35 an hour for belt, tensioners water pump fitted plus vat just over £160 I supplied the cambelt kit and pump had a good look round before hand and this was average price.

my friend is a vw and audi tech and he charges beetween £80 and £100 private!! thats just for doing it!
