I Was quoted £120 to get a cambelt + waterpump fitted on my mk3 golf and they supplied parts which i thought was good. depends what service theyre doing i suppose but id say a little more than expected.

if your supplying all parts. £130/140 is good.

:D

Doesn't sound too bad. However will they be replacing the tensioners & rollers too?

From what i've seen, 1.8T cambelt is a fairly involved job.
Certainly more difficult than on a mk3 gti.

Much more involved than older engines due to the fact you could walk through a MK2/MK3(bar vr6) engine bay and not even notice the engine.

For what car?

Book time on a 1.8t Cambelt is 2.5-3hrs im sure without looking. That puts there labour rate at less than £25/hr, Never seen less than £45/hr in my area.
