Water in rear lights
« on: 22 March 2010, 18:13 »
How do you get water out of the rear light clusters? Is it me, or are they a sealed unit, cos I can't seem to find anyway of getting the water out!! I've taken the offending light unit off the car, any help, much appreciated

had this problem on another car. It seems to have no way out but how did it get in? I would get another cluster from a scrappy. Ive never had this issue with mine and I have a crack in one of the lenses so there are some good ones out there.

Your seals are probably not seated properly,  try removing, drying out and refitting the light, smear some vasaline around the seals.

easiest way to dry them out would be to take them off and pour out as much as possible then take a hairdryer to them, thats the easy way unless you fancy heating up the bonded seal and prying them apart but i always seem to end up cracking them lol
