Soon enough GTI's with the factory fitted rear lights are going to be a rarity going by the number of you retro-fitting led ones.
I came up behind my car yesterday when it was all clean and shiny and decided that I actually like my tail lights just as they are and although I considered going for the led's don't think I will bother now.

That's quite true, a bit like the little lights on the original Mk1 GTI. That said, I still think the LED blocks are more in keeping with the sharp, modern styling of the Mk6.

I have the redder version of the Led Tail Light on carbon steel grey and I get a lot of cool remarks...it really makes the car a lot more interesting....especially if you have your leaving home/follow me home function on.....

You will have to have a look at the latest version of etka or at your dealers they may list a RHD version.

Do you meen the rear series 1 lights compared to the later series 2 rear lights?

Whats known as the single headlamp grill (2 front lights) compared to the twin light grill (4 lights)

I ordered the car with the optional GTI Tail Leds...When they were in December only since a week available..

A version for right hand drive cars is now available according to ETKA, so if your interested I can get them at a similar price to the R group buy 

The R version are also listed for the GTI "Edition" model, so looks like they will be standard fit on the ED35 

Second observation is there are two versions of the LED's now, one for cars built upto 26/04 and a revision for car built after this

Yes I am interested.
But first I have to get my RNS 510 + FISCON.
Then I will do the rear lights.
It is important to keep her happy with extra make-up as she ages gracefully or as in my case, disgracefully!

I've seen them in person and they are really very bright red - almost pink. Certainly a lot brighter than the picture above would have you believe.
