**** Group Buy - OEM Golf R LED Taillights ****

Well I dont know about you or anyone else, but I can tell the difference between 2 set of LED lights on either side of the car (GTI/R) over 1 set on either side on this. Plus the fact they are feckin huge, almost the size of the back window height.

Does the polo GTI even have LED rear lights as the regular polo just has bulbs in them lights and the L shape just does not look right with bulbs.

Not sure, I thought it did. Sure I saw LED's when the polo GTI avert was on the telly.

All lights are with me now, picked them up today.

One of the connectors is on back order in total (none received as yet 6/4 date given by TPS), and we are waiting for a single wire for one kit.

My plan is to box the lights up ready for collection, and collect all the wires on Wed and get them to Steve by 1st class for loom make up.

I read on another forum that reversing the struts causes them to rub slightly on the body work. The poster also stated that after a few times of using the auto tailgate, it became sporadic of whether the tailgate would actually lift on its own, before finally only lifting the tailgate once in every ten times.

When he went to reverse the struts and put it back to the way it was, he found rust had started

^^^ Yep saw that too, mine works all the time except when very cold.

Also no sign's of rubbing on mine either, but I wouldn't say its really a worthwhile mod.

I thought you had to use the Skoda struts for the GTI to use the auto tailgate open with the keyfob ? It's in another thread I'm sure.
