How much for the reverse camera retrofit assuming you have the correct RCD510??

"STEVEP" did me a deal on the reverse camera, wiring adaptors and lights, think he sells the reverse camera and fittings on ebay for £399 ono.

Just worked out how many hours it will take me to earn that money..
I think I'll have to carry on with the 'old fashioned' method.

Chaps, ok I know the VAGCOM needs recoding to cater for the LEDs, but does that just switch off the monitoring or will it still pick up when some of the LEDs go?  Cheers

I would not expect so as there will be such little current drain difference if some go unless of cause they are wired in series but i would not expect that.

List price is over £450 from the dealers for the lights and parts to make the adapters.

I can get these cheaper and will be posting a mini group buy as soon as I can get moderator approval

Would be one of the first extras I now look for on any future car.
It started as a gadget but a great tool now.

Isn't it cheaper just to look over your shoulder? Sorry, I dare say it is useful once you've tried it (much like the beeping radar thing I have now come to rely on), but the idea doesn't really do much for me...
