Practicality: Boot volume
« on: 20 March 2010, 11:58 »
Thought you might be interested in the following:

Boot volume for Golf GTi           = 350 litres
Boot volume for Scirocco GT/R  = 312 litres (but has high loading lip)
Boot volume for Polo GTi           = 280 litres
Boot volume for Golf R              = 275 litres! (reduced by 75 litres due to rear differential)

It would therefore seem the 5 door Golf GTi is the most practical car from the above list.

PS: Removed the Golf GTD as the diesel Scirroco was not included.

Is this a surprise?
I'd have thought that was relatively obvious!

Don't forget about shape, a mate of mine can't get his golf clubs in his Seat(wash my mouth out) Leon and that's got 341 litres.
