Kph to mph in the display??

Daft question maybe.

Wouldn't changing to the U.S setting mean that mpg will be worked out for U.S gallons?

Yeah, but you can choose UK Gallons on the Highline display... and also change the Temp to Celcius and Time back to 24hour.

My next question then... how do I disable the seatbelt warning?  I don't mind it beeping if my keys are in the ignition when the door is open.  Its not something I do very often.

Carnt remember was just playing about
with vcds I think in the instrument module
I unticked bit 2 in byte 1 which was seat belt
I'll check tomorrow and post up.....

You guys with vcds can you have a look next time your fiddling to see if there is a way of switching off my xenons + rear lights that are on all the time?

There is an easy fix for the beeping... change the instrument panel to Europe instead of UK - and you can set the speedo to MPH and not have to worry about the US style seatbelt / key in ignition warning.
I turned off the seatbelt warning anyway, as it annoys me that my passenger seat beeps when I have a bag sitting on it!

If you change it to EUROPE (germany etc) it will give you a larger problem. The mileage will be displayed in kilometers instead of miles!

For me i'd rather have the large MPH display option and i can live with the bongs (just put my seatbelt on and dont leave the keys in the ignition)

ive put mine to europe no bong anymore and you can set the mileage back to miles in mfd
all sorted and happy just want the sweeping dials now but carnt be done with my vagcom
need newer version..

 I havn't got EUROPE in my settings (germany,rest of world and a few more) and also can't change between kilometers - miles in the MFD.

Did also read somewhere if you cant activate staging(dial sweep) with VCDS you need to ask your VW dealer to update your instrument FIRMWARE and then you should be able to activate it but if your dealer's as dumb as mine i wouldn't count on it!

It wasn't Europe on mine... it was Rest Of World.
I didn't notice it was in KM, but I'll check tomorrow!
