what your poison??? unleaded or super unleaded

Hi all,

Just a quick question for you all, I have a golf with an AGU engine and always run it on super unleaded but recently my cousin has bought a seat leon fr and is running it on normal unleaded I warned him against this but he says its fine  :shocked:

Im i being daft in running mine on super? I drive mine hard and like knowing that im putting the best fuel i can in! :smiley:

What do you guys use???

Super all the way and shell vpower where possible but then I have always used it on all previous cars too. Whats 5pence a litre extra for peace of mind! I dont think super is compulsary for golfs though. Also you can notice a responsiveness difference with super. Tell your mate he is tight!  :laugh:

Normal unleaded is fine.

Since my remap i always run on V-power preferably or BP ultimate if i can't make it to shell.

I was mapped on V-power so.

unleaded is £1.20 round my end , super is about £1.28 :angry:

I usually use V-Power as my cars mapped to run on higher ron fuel, but last time I was at the pump I went for unleaded as it was stupid prices!

does it make a differnce with diesel as over 55 cetane rating its useless unlike petrol and octane rating

V power here too.

It annoys my mates that they sometimes use V power but don't have the same red & silver card (they have the yellow & red one wihtout thier name on it)

On a seperate note, the magazine they send out every quarter is actually quite a good read!
