Lol I know this is off topic but it reminds me of when I had a knocking noise coming from the front left when going around a corner ages ago. Spent ages wracking my brain checking CV, wheel bearing, suspension, anything that it could be. You know what it was? Turns out the bolt that holds the battery in had just come away with rust and the battery was slinging itself against my pas resevoir! Lol

Cant see it being the wishbones, I replaced them with new last summer.
Plus the noise goes if I push the clutch.....
Any other suggestions?

HELP!!!
Things have just got a whole lot worse!
Pulled out of the works car park and ive lost all drive. Just hear a horrible grinding noise when with the clutch up.
Recovery man on his way but im stuck for work now as this is my daily.
What you reckon, gearbox??

Errrm, does it grind all the time or when in gear or with the clutch down?

I now grinds when in gear with the clutch up. its fine in neutral.
Just got it up quickly on some stands and the O/S outer CV joint is making a terrible crunching noise when I spin the wheel.
In fact I can actually feel loose ball bearings wobbleing about inside the boot!!
Would this cause me to lose drive totally even if just the one side is gone?
