and its not quattro until you ditch the haldex, mount the motor logitudonally and fit an s4 box and rear diff.

if it were still the golf running gear, your geekery may have been justified.. but as quattro is essentially a brand description rather than the name of the technology... and the drivetrain is completely from the S3 "quattro"... f*ck off!

how come the 4motion was stripped? and any pics of damage to the s3?

I bought the 4motion from a breakers as they had bought the car to strip as the engine was knocking (bottom end fubarred).

The car wasnt category damaged or NOTHING they had just been offered it cheap  And as I know the breakers quite well they sold it me for a relatively good price!

I will take a picture tomorrow of the damage seen as everybody is so interested lol
