I liked his idea cause veedubs and porkies are in the same family tree but it looks a little out of place given the rest of the car being OEM.

I also think VW centre caps would have been nice. The alternative would have been to debadge the whole car and do it all with porkie badges. This is what Fiat have done with Ferrari for the Scuderia 500 Abarth. I think it would certainly add a nice spin to the car (a porsche powered golf ) but at the moment it only looks like it's half of what it should be.

Meh. Golf owners have been putting on Porsche wheels with Porsche badges for years.

That doesn't necessarily make it right though, does it?

Yeah true, but it's fairly normal in the VW scene and has been for years and years was my point.

Just seen the finished picture and its awful in my opinion

To be fair the guys certainly put some effort in there and produced a very good finish.

The front reminds me of a mark 3 fiesta XR2i from back in the day.

Please, please, please can this topic be deleted so others are not tempted to do something so ridiculous to there new golf.

Thankyou

I don't know whether it's the photo, but it also looks about 15 years old!

That's Erik's car tarted up and re-mapped!
It looks very similiar to an Abt inspired machine.

Mind you the difference between the Porsche design and the last couple of foto's is huge.....

I mean the last few pics is all about wrong make-up....replace all the red parts for black and you have a different car....
