wheel refurb on a polished rim

i thought i would have a go at refurbing my rs8 polished rims so i sanded the lacque down and got all the kerb marks out now how do i get it to shine again, originally these where diamond cut but is there any way i can get these to shine myself

What I used to do on the bike wheels is to keep going over the rims with finer wet & dry until you are on a really fine grade and then finish with autosol.

Not quite the diamond cut finish but you can get a nice shine on them  :smiley:

If you have the tyres and valve off you can put your car securley on axcel stands put the rim on, then start the car put it in first then do the fine wet and dry hollowed buy a cutting compound finally a good wax when your happy with it. Search YouTube wheel polishing

and since then I have given them another quick going over with 1500 & 2000 wet/dry, some grey metal polish (I don't know the name but it comes as a bar for machine polishing) and plenty more autosol and some time with mr drill (with mop head fitted)
and there even better this time (photo's to come)  :cool:
