Ordered some GTI mats today from dealers cost me £70,while i was there someone was picking up a silver Golf R and to be honest it looked very plain.
Golfgti build quality is average at best.

Subliminal comes to my mind!! I wouldn't mind one, but just couldnt justfy the price, the spec I wanted would have been £33k thats a lot of money for a Golf???

Get second hand cayman for that good one aswell!! :rolleyes:

It did not help that it was silver,black or rising blue would probably look better . :wink:

Whatever the wheels, the R has a horrible front end and a rear that looks quite stupid with those centrally located twin exhausts. The whole idea when designing the GTi was to separate the exhausts to enable the rear of the car to look wider and lower. So said the designer, Bischoff (spelling?).
£33k? More like £35k+ now. Waste of money, I agree.

I feel the mats that came with my GTi are more than fine. I'll get new ones if or when these wear out. No point spending £70 on/for dirty feet. It was bad enough I spent £41 on a luggage net which, believe it or not, is very, very useful.

PS: Any chance of spicing things up. You are quite adept at this from what I recall!

Ones I got with mine are almost done  :sad: Totally crappy quality, flat as a pancake now in places and were about as thick as a piece of cardboard.


GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.
