Not sure if this is the right place  but iv been working in a street and a few doors down there's a grey mk2 gti on the drive and no tax cince September last year I'm there again Wednesday might put a card through the door asking I they was wiling to sell now iv ot 500 ATM but not wanting to spend alot, not knowing alo about mk2 but this could be a bit of a project for me

It's parked facing the road and I can see a little rust on the splitter or just above it's worth an enquirry lol not sure if it's a 8 or 16v though

if you cant take a proper look around it or cant see under the bonnet then just grab the reg plate and check online

I tried this with a gti that sat in the works car park for over a year.
Nobody knew whos it was and it just sat there,unusual colour 4 door gti with a decent exhaust,alloys and suspension.
It s gone now but dunno if it was scrapped or not.

Just after i got the atlas grey one i drive now some bloke on a motorbike rides alongside me while im driving to ask me to pull over.
Then he asks if he can buy it

Thats what i done with my GTI Mk2 this bloke had it from new but he never used it.

It is worth a go.
