Oh Jesus Christ  not this again?  I am  of the dsg or manual argument there are numerous threads on here regarding which is best and at the end of the day it is personal choice; neither one is better than the other it depends how you drive and use your car.

As for ACC I personally find it good with a noticeable difference but it's a pricey option that you can well do without.

I would like the 5 door GTi look, front wheel drive, (mechanical slip differential), ACC, R engine, DSG, (Recaro part leather and Jacara cloth), [18" Scirocco wheels (or 18" Monza Shadows)] and Scirocco suspension.
Not too much to ask.

Where have you been?
Had to start 2 threads to stop myself and others like Kev and Steve from going mad with the 'Mk5 or Mk6' thread.
Seems to have done the trick!
Hope you approve

Its called an Ed30 mate

No it isn't...I'd like the R running gear. So that means 4WD!

Adding 4 wheel drive adds a lot of weight onto the car which in turn makes the car feel less nimble on twisty B-Roads

I am aware of that. It adds around 100Kg.

But set the suspension up properly, and it's not only no less nimble, but you can use the traction to make it FAR quicker A to B on a backroad, despite the weight dissadvantage....and you can crank up the boost of the bigger turbo, to make silly torque, and be able to use it, rather than wear your brake pads out letting XDS try to find some traction.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

I don't think R32UK, for instance, is too concerned with motor car running gear as long as he has a good ride!
