£40 - £10 = £30 == 12 pints

£40 - £40 = £0 == 0 pints + 12 pints for the dealer and his chums after selling another mk6 option to a mug

Well yer but you still get a net this way. Other solution, remove spare wheel and weight it in = £40 + £5 giving you a massive 18 pints and a lighter car
