Door open fault
« on: 14 March 2010, 20:27 »
When my rear passenger doors are opened the door open warning light comes on and stays on until it's closed. When my front passenger door is opened the door open warning light flashes on and goes out immediately. Because of this the interior light does the same. Can anybody advise me of the possible fault?

Cheers,

Mike

I've had a search but still quite confused. I've got problems with both front microswitches so what would be the most cost effective way of replacing both of them? I'm not too confident with removing door cards etc

Is this the right thing I've been looking at:http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1542461 ? Any idea how much I'll be looking at at a VW specialist, after a clutch, flywheel and head gasket I'm not exactly flash for cash.
