They have to get their scrappage scheme money back somehow. You all didnt think this was a free service did you ?
They got it back with the other taxes they got from it. VAT in new cars, first registration fee etc. Its why this goverment only gave £1000 as they worked out they would actually not loose out
What about the other £1000 ?
The manufactures pay the other 1000

I might also point out that in this Times report petrol duty will go up by 1p plus the rate of inflation for the next three years. So they're expecting 3p next month.
Meanwhile with all the tax from the motorist going everywhere except back into transport I'll carry on dodging the potholes (sorry, craters) that haven't been fixed over the winter.

On a totally unrelated issue if I ever see Ed Balls' smug, slimy, arrogant f****** face on my tele again I'm likely to throw something very heavy at it!!! What a **** he is!!!!

...it's just another one on the endless list of additional expenses ordinary working people have had to endure.  You name it Labour Taxed it, or introduced a new levy (eg tuition fees) and then blew the money over the past 10yrs on many things but worst of all-creating public sector jobs to the detriment of the private sector.  And now those "imaginary" and pointless jobs will have to go.

Ballot box coming soon, choose with care

Ed Balls should 'go forth and multiply' but fortunately or unfortunately he does not have the balls for this. He constantly reminds me of someone who might possibly have a long standing  non-specific infection.

Your not wrong there mate , you don't get nothing for nothing in this world. Its very maddening as the evidence against CO2 causing global warming gets stronger by the day its just another excuse to get taxed. I reckon the GTI will work out at 180 road tax a year with 300 odd the first year. Grrrrr

And that's just it, global warming is really about water vapour not CO2, but there is no means of creating a tax around water vapour.  It's all a great big lie(the CO2 bit), that conviently is an excuse for tax and control.

Don't forget global warming (that is: climate change that has existed since time began) will bring a lot of good things for areas currently deprived of warmth and moisture.
